In the 3-club Stableford competition players were required
to dispense with 11 of their bats and play a round with only 3 carefully
selected clubs. After some excellent scores were recorded some players may have
been left wondering why they have invested hundreds of pounds in a full set of
clubs when only 3 would do. Securing victory with a creditable 32 points was
Kenny Farmer. The in-form Cammie Ross took second place on 29, with Donald
Mowat edging Evan Sutherland to take third place after both recorded tallies of
27.
