Players gathered at Reay on Saturday in bright and warm
conditions to compete for the Presidents Salver.
Several players took advantage
of the calm conditions with several low scores recorded. Finishing on top of
the pile was Lee Parnell, who has been enjoying an excellent season to date.
His superb gross score of 69 comprised halves of 37 and 32, and included no
less than four birdies at the 7th, 10th, 11th and 14th holes. His nett tally of
65 was good enough to secure victory by a single shot from brothers Euan and
Ross Munro, after both carded scores of nett 66. Euan took the runners-up spot
on countback after his gross 74 which included two birdies at the 14th and 17th
holes. Ross bagged four birdies, at the 6th, 14th, 15th and 17th, on his way to
a gross score of 69. Donald Mowat and John Disbury finished a stroke further
back after both carded scores of nett 67.
