Round Six of the Jacobs Summer Cup was won by John Nicolson
who has been producing some of his best golf in this competition. A double
bogey at the first hole was soon forgotten and birdies at the 5th, 14th and
16th holes helped him to record a superb round of 72 for a nett score of 64.
David Craig took second place after carding an excellent nett 65 which was good
enough to secure a handicap reduction of two shots. Ross Munro took third place
on nett 68.
In the overall standings Nicolson currently holds the lead
with his best three rounds giving him an aggregate total of 196. The chasing
pack is headed by Lee Malcolm on 204, with Colin Paterson on 205 and Summer Cup
specialist Lee Parnell on 207.
