On Sunday the club hosted the Reay Gala Open, which was again
staged in fine conditions. Parnell continued his current rich vein of form to
claim the scratch prize after an excellent score of 73. Euan Munro won Category
One with an excellent nett 66, with Thurso pair Michael MacGregor and Innes
Mitchell claiming second and third places after rounds of nett 67 and nett 68
respectively.
Caegory Two was won by Donald Mackay on countback from Clark
Grant and A.S Mackenzie after all three players posted scores of nett 70. The
prize for nearest the pin at the 18th went to David Dunbar of Thurso.
