There has been an increasing number of ‘Disco’s’ over recent weeks so here’s a reminder of how to avoid a Disco Inferno!
Top 10 Tips to Avoid Disqualification from Club Competitions:
- Put your name on the start sheet before you play.
- Pay the entry fee – put you name on the envelope so we know it’s you that paid
- Put your full name on your score card – just a fist name is not much use to us! If you have a common surname make sure you can be clearly identified from others who share the same name, use a middle initial for example.
- Put you’re handicap on the card.
- Make sure you use your correct handicap - see the tips for managing your handicap.
- Put the competition name and date on the card – the score card box may contain cards from several competitions, so make it clear which competition you played.
- Clearly record the gross score for each hole on your card – if you make a mistake, make sure we can read the corrected score. If it’s a stableford competition, you don’t need to record your stableford score, so make sure it’s clear what your gross score is.
- Ensure the marker has signed the card.
- Sign your card.
- Check your card before you post it – and post it in the correct slot (the one that says ‘score cards’!!)
If you’re a repeat offender your name may appear on the Disco King leaderboard!!
